Curriculum for Kirtan, Vocal & Instrumental Music Training
Chapter 1: Harmonium, Vocal Activation & Kirtan Training
This chapter is designed to help students develop a strong foundation in harmonium playing, vocal expression, and kirtan participation. It brings together melody, voice, and rhythm in a simple and structured way, allowing participants to gradually build confidence in both individual and group settings.
Students are guided step by step—from understanding the basics of sound and notes to playing simple melodies, singing devotional songs, and coordinating both together. By the end of the course, participants experience a natural progression from learning to active musical expression.
